Tat-Kin Tsang, MD

In Memorium 3/10/1949 - 8/8/2015

Dr. Tat-Kin Tsang, our beloved partner, colleague, and friend, passed away on August 8, 2015. Born in Hong Kong, Tat came to the United States to attend Indiana University and later Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine, where he received his MD and completed both his residency and fellowship training. He was the teaching chief of Northwestern’s Section of Gastroenterology for 15 years, and associate fellowship director for 10 years. He was voted as attending physician of the year in 1985. In 1996, he became one of the founding partners of Gastroenterology Consults of the North Shore, which is affiliated with multiple hospitals including Glenbrook and Evanston Hospitals.

Married to the love of his life and father of three devoted daughters, Tat led multiple roles for so many. He was a physician, Deacon, business owner, researcher, inventor, role model, educator, ethicist, theologian, chef, author, philanthropist, musician, and comedian, as well as beloved husband and father. He will be missed by all: most of all by his college sweetheart and wife of 40 years, Corina; three daughters, Rebecca Tsang MD, of Chicago, IL; Jackie Chen of Baltimore, MD; and Samantha Tsang of Baltimore, MD; son-in-law, Thomas Chen of Baltimore, MD; grandson, Logan Kaising Chen; and the innumerable patients, colleagues, and staff associated with our practice.
